Girl Reading    Book In A Bag    Boy Reading

Reading with your child is the most important thing you can do to help your kindergartener.  To help encourage and develop a love of reading, the Book In A Bag will start coming home the first of September.  Once you and your child have read the book, please return it in the bag to school and we will send a new one home! These books can be logged onto the Monthly Book Log to help reach your way to reading 100 books by the 100th day of school!

Quiet Spray

I have found the most amazing product!  It's called "Quiet Spray" and whenever we spray it, the class becomes quiet!  It is a wonderful invention and am so glad that I found it!  Feel free to check it out in our room!

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is an on-line classroom managment tool that rewards students for positive behavior.  The students earn points based on the ROAR and our classroom expectations.    Parents can follow their child's progress by taking advantage of the on-line feature and checking out how your child is doing during the day!  Students can earn points for following directions, returning homework, respecting our surroundings, respecting others, using helpful hands and words, staying on task, smiling, following line basics, teamwork, helping others and working hard.  Students can also lose points by not following directions, being off task, not following line basics, being disrespectful, hurting others and blurting out.  Students can also get on-line to change their avatar and see their progress.  Be sure to check your e-mail every Friday, as I try to send home weekly reports each week.  If you are not receiving the e-mails, please be sure to let me know!
